The event will be held Saturday, May 12 , 6-11 p.m., at 300 Jubilee Drive, Centennial Park, Peabody. Featured will be painting, sculpture, prints, mixed media and computer-generated graphics, giftware from Mariposa and a few items made by local artisans.



TRINITY, Jersey, May 3 (UPI) -- A critically endangered frog species reintroduced to the Caribbean island of Montserrat is surviving in its new home, British conservationists say.

The mountain chickens are the offspring of dozens of frogs weighing up to two pounds (0.9 kilograms) that were airlifted to Britain and Sweden in 2009 in hopes of saving them from a deadly fungus that has killed nearly 80 percent of the species.

The Beverly Housing Authority is set to build two, two-family homes near the Montserrat train station, the agency's first new-construction project in more than 20 years.
